Facelift

Move over Heidi Montag, Sincerelyours will be getting a makeover. Like anything worn out or out of date, a makeover is a must. Something fresh for summer, yes? I agree.

My dear friend, Christie Aguasin will be creating a new look for my blog.

And in return, I will 'fancy' it up with posts, words, music, whatever flows out of these fingertips.

Stay tuned!

Sincerely,
Kyla

my favorite word: inspiration

It was a beautiful day to start, and then the umbrella came out - so I found comfort in between mounds and mounds of books, that is Chapters. It's like a library in there, find a book, snag a seat, read away.

I pulled out the 'encyclopedia' of my favorite fashion duo: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. From watching them on Full House, to Two of Kind, even New York Minute -- I admired them, their books, movies and now, their style.

The love, the talent and the passion that MK & A posses is influential to myself. When I try to wrap my head around the success that MK & A have founded their names on I am almost dumbfounded. The exquisite, outrageous and pure style is so highly respected that the most coveted names in the fashion industry such as Karl Lagerfeld and Diane Von Frutsenberg are found pressed in the pages of this book: Influence, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Ethan's Six!

My favorite boy in the whole world turned six on May 04. He was spoiled with Star Wars apparel, lego and more lego. I decided not to cave into the Star Wars theme (which probably wasn't in his best interest) but I got him a Dino IQ book, I mean, it came with a boardgame, a poster and a glow in the dark puzzle! I even threw in a basketball Nerf set. He didn't seem to pay too much attention with it, considering he also got an entire baseball set, including the t-stand.

My family has a weird obsession for bowling, so that was the main event for the night - and, as always - I got beat by a six-year-old.

Party Steez

I cut her hair, she cleans up my coffee spills, I feed her cake, she makes me laugh. The night that followed us was filled with dancing, champagne, laughs and reuniting with friends. ALL LOVE. Snapshots of the girls in their 'dress to impress' attire. One thing about having outings with these girls is that they're always ready to show off great style. Feel free to admire.

This is Jory (right), formally known as 'jbaby,' simple black -neck dress fits for any occasion, in this case dinner+dancing. I didn't get a shot of her heeled boots, but she paired with them brown studded boots! Very cute. A dress that can be worn for a night out in town or played casual. I don't know if you can notice the pocket on the side, but even that little bit of detailing makes the difference. (L)

Birthday Girl, Hannah, dressed all in white, with bright red lips, love the contrast! And the ruffled dress, made top.

Ariane, in a black Guess dress. I love the fit of this dress. Perfect party dress, or special occassion.
I went pretty cas', I need to update my wardrobe with dresses! Im pretty sure my outfit cost me a total of $50. Yeah, the shirt and shoes were a free deal. Gotta love having sisters.

Nema S: the floral print is so fitting for the season even though it's raining, & you can never go wrong with adding a belt (or having a belt like accessory)-- I love this outfit even more because of the sweetheart top! Bonnie P: Piece by Forever XXI, why is that everyone I know can snag something super cute and fitting, but everytime I go I leave with...earings, I have yet to find something this cute&fun!

Girls of the night with the high-waisted skirts Kayla M: The off-the-shoulder top and chain mini purse is such a cute and classy combo, off-the-shoulder. never goes out of style. Love the detailing of the buttons and the hidden pockets, it may just look like pleating ... but no, you can hide a camera in there ;) Tiffany N: With the high-waisted skirt, for those sexy legs mama! The printed halter is fun and unique, not sure where she got it - but she rocks it.

Told ya these girls have style

introducing, BOB'S BAND: THE BADGERS

After high anticipations for this band (The Badgers) to play, and after listening to them at the store, I am finally going to see my old assistant manager -- as front man -- on May 8.

Agenda: get off work with some mates, and head to good times. Yes, I am excited.

Ice Water Fashion Show

I haven't updated in a while, and I was going to hold off until tomorrow, because I really need some shut-eye, but I have this urge to share what fun I've been having in the last two days.

Malene Grotrian's Ice Water Fashion Show:
Courtesy of www.afootmagazine.com, I was able to attend Malene Grotrian's Ice Water Fashion Show, (check out the website in the next week or so to see my full article), all I can say is WOW. Beautiful, bold and breathtaking designs came strutting down that catwalk.
I met some new faces and was introduced to new names, what a spectacle! Here are a few snap shots!

Corinnee Kessel from Greenscape Silk Designs and the band Los Furios

Chocolate concoction, human dessert platter, now that's dining in fashion

Robin, friend of Malene's with pieces from Malene's past collections. Love the feathered bustier!

Favorite. Mermaid dress gone couture. Love, love, love.

My wearings for the night: Sakura layered dress in champagne and blazer from H&M. (Don't mind my broken-looking leg)

Sincerely,
Kyla
